Dear Fellow Firefighters,

  The Minersville Fire Department is proud to announce that it is hosting the 57th annual Schuylkill County Volunteer Fireman's Association Convention, August 21-27, 2011 in our borough. During this week long event, we will also be honoring those firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001.

  Activities begin on Sunday, August 21, 2011 6:00pm with a memorial service to all fallen firefighters at St. Peter & Paul Byzatine Catholic Church, 107 South Fourth Street, Minersville, PA 17954. The Annual Delegates Night is planned for Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Hillcrest Catering Hall, 631 Minersville/Llewellyn Hwy, Minersville, PA 17954. There will also be a "Meet the Firefighters Night" Thursday, August 25, 2011 at New Minersville Fire Co., 500 Line Street, Minersville, PA. 17954 from 7:00pm-11:00pm. Come and meet the proud and dedicated members of the Minersville Fire Department.

  The big event of the convention is the 57th annual parade, which will be held Saturday, August 27, 2011 with a 1:30pm start. There will be numerous bands, floats, and a large selection of fire apparatus for your enjoyment. Registration for the apparatus is not due until Saturday, August 13, 2011.

  At this time we are asking for your fire company to advertise in our ad booklet, which will be published and distributed to all incoming firemen and will also be made available to the public.

The cost of the ads are:
$100 for a full page ad
$60 for a ½ page ad
$35 for a ¼ page ad

Deadline for placing an ad is Thursday, July 28, 2011.

Placing an advertisement in the Convention 2011 Ad Booklet is a great way to draw attention and support to your organization while being part of our historical event.
